Minibus hire Pinner for village weddings and school sport

Weddings at the village church, school sport fixtures, Pinner Fair day and airport runs to Luton and Heathrow, planned around the narrow High Street.

Every year since 1336, Pinner has held a fair. On the Wednesday after the late May bank holiday, rides and stalls fill the High Street and Bridge Street from end to end, and the village centre closes to traffic for the day. The rest of the year, Pinner is quieter, a commuter village of timber-framed buildings, Victorian villas and long avenues of 1930s semis. Minibus hire Pinner families book is mostly for weddings, school sport, birthday parties and airport runs, especially to Luton and Heathrow.

Pinner sits in the north-west of Harrow borough, with Hatch End to the east, Northwood to the west and Rayners Lane to the south. From our base in SE1, it's about an hour to an hour and a quarter outside the rush hour, via the A40 or the A41.

Minibus hire Pinner for weddings

St John the Baptist, the medieval church at the top of the High Street, is the heart of the village, and couples marry there and at other churches nearby. Receptions follow at golf clubs, hotels and country venues across Harrow, Hertfordshire and the Chilterns.

For weddings, we'll run a loop between the church, the reception and the guests' homes or hotels. The High Street is narrow and slopes up to the church, and parking near the top is limited, so we'll agree a drop-off point close to the church gate and a waiting point for the driver. Minibus hire Pinner couples book for the evening usually includes a late run home, so nobody has to drive.

Pinner's older houses and the avenues around the village make good backdrops for photos, and some couples ask for a short stop on the way to the reception. Tell us in advance and we'll build it into the timings.

School sport and fixtures

Pinner and the surrounding area have several large secondary schools and plenty of primaries, and sport is a big part of school life. Teams travel to fixtures across Harrow, Hillingdon and Hertfordshire, and to tournaments further afield.

A squad with its kit fits in one vehicle, and the driver waits during the match and brings the team back. For regular fixtures, we can keep the same pattern each week. Schools also book us for museum visits, swimming galas and residential trips.

Pinner Fair, the park and the Heath Robinson Museum

Pinner Fair is a highlight of the year for families across north-west London, and groups from care homes, clubs and schools come for an afternoon. On fair day, the centre is closed and crowded, so we'll drop on the edge and agree a meeting point for the return. The fair runs into the evening, so for groups that want to stay late, we'll set a later pickup time.

Pinner Memorial Park, just off the High Street, has a lake, a play area and the Heath Robinson Museum, which celebrates the illustrator famous for his absurd machines. He lived in Pinner for years. The museum draws school groups and art societies.

Hatch End, Rayners Lane and nights out

Hatch End, to the north-east, has its own Broadway of restaurants and bars, and it's a popular spot for birthday dinners. Rayners Lane, to the south, has an Art Deco former cinema, the Grosvenor, and a run of restaurants along Alexandra Avenue. Pinner itself has pubs along the High Street and Bridge Street. Friday nights are busy and Hatch End's restaurants book up at weekends, so for a big birthday it pays to book the table and the transport early.

For a night out, we'll collect from homes across the area and plan the drop-offs at the end of the night.

Flying from Luton or Heathrow

Luton is about forty to fifty minutes from Pinner outside the rush hour, via the A41 and the M1 or round the M25. Heathrow is about thirty to forty minutes, via the A312 or the M25. Stansted is about an hour and a quarter, and Gatwick about an hour and a quarter or more. Watford Junction, about twenty minutes north, is a handy station for groups catching trains north, and we can drop there too.

For a family holiday, a minibus from the door saves dragging cases onto the Metropolitan line and changing trains. For arrivals, we'll follow the flight and the driver will meet the group in the terminal.

The High Street and the fair

Pinner's High Street is a short, steep street of old buildings, and it's narrow, with parking down one side and a small car park at the bottom. A larger minibus can't stop on it for long. For pickups in the village, we'll agree a point on Bridge Street or a side road nearby. On fair day, the whole centre is out of bounds, so if you have a booking that Wednesday, tell us early and we'll plan around it.
