The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium changed what a match day means for north London. On top of Spurs games, it hosts NFL fixtures and big stadium concerts, and each one brings tens of thousands of people down the High Road. Minibus hire Tottenham groups book with us is mostly those events, from supporters' clubs travelling from out of town to corporate hospitality groups, with Stansted runs and local family bookings in between.
From our base in SE1, Tottenham is about forty-five minutes to an hour outside the rush hour.
The stadium on event days
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium holds over sixty thousand people. On event days, Tottenham High Road is closed to traffic around the stadium, and the roads around it are restricted. Coaches and minibuses use set drop-off and pickup areas, a walk from the turnstiles.
You'll have the exact location from us before match day. After the event, the crowds leave towards White Hart Lane, Northumberland Park, Tottenham Hale and Seven Sisters stations, and the roads take a while to clear. Agree a meeting time and place with the driver, and walk there as a group. Phone signal near the stadium can drop out after the final whistle, so fix the plan before you go in.
On non-event days, the stadium runs tours and a rooftop walk, which are popular with school and corporate groups. Those days are much easier for traffic, and the driver can drop near the entrance.
Minibus hire Tottenham for NFL games
The stadium hosts NFL games in London, and they draw fans from across the UK and Europe, many of them in groups. A minibus from a hotel in central London, or from a station, to the stadium and back is the easy way to do it.
For NFL games, the timings are different from football. Pre-game events start early, and games often finish later. Tell us the kick-off time and when you want to arrive, and we'll plan the pickup.
Stadium concerts in the summer work the same way, with big crowds arriving in the afternoon and leaving late. Many visiting fans stay in central London, but hotels near Tottenham Hale and Stratford are popular too, and we'll collect from any of them.
Stansted and the Lea Valley
Tottenham Hale has the Stansted Express, and for a couple travelling light, the train is quick. For a group with luggage, a minibus from the door is easier. By road, Stansted is around forty to fifty minutes via the A406 or the A10 and the M11.
For relatives arriving for a wedding or a family occasion, a minibus from the airport to the family home is the simplest plan, and the driver checks the landing time before setting off.
The Lea Valley runs along the eastern edge of Tottenham, with the reservoirs, the Walthamstow Wetlands and sports venues used for school and club trips.
Schools, families and the High Road
Tottenham has a large number of schools, and they book us for trips into central London, fixtures and days out. Bruce Castle Museum, in a Tudor house in Bruce Castle Park, is a popular local school trip. The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London has a campus in Tottenham, and students and staff book us for trips and events.
The High Road is busy every day, not just on match days, with buses and bus lanes along most of its length. For pickups, we'll agree a point on a side street.
Families book us for weddings, christenings, big birthdays and airport runs, from Seven Sisters and Bruce Grove up to Northumberland Park. Many have relatives abroad, and a minibus from Stansted or Heathrow bringing the whole family home is a common booking.
Roads around Tottenham
The A10 runs north through Tottenham towards Edmonton and the M25, and south through Stamford Hill towards the City. The A503 crosses from Seven Sisters east to Walthamstow. The North Circular runs along the northern edge, and the junction where it meets the A10 is one of the busiest in the area.
Around Tottenham Hale, new housing and the retail park have added traffic, especially at weekends. For trips into central London, the A10 and the A1 are the main routes, and both are slow at peak times through Stamford Hill and Holloway.
If you live near the stadium
If you live in Tottenham, the fixture list matters for everything you book. Minibus hire Tottenham residents need on a match day, whether it's a wedding, an airport run or a family event, will take longer, because the High Road is closed and the roads around it are full. Tell us the date and we'll check it against the stadium's calendar, and plan the route and the pickup point around any closures.
